Still Debating Desktop Linux?

In this head-to-head test, Times’ Business & Technology Columnist Paul Andrews compares Xandros and Lindows against last year’s version of Red Hat, Windows XP and Mac. While aimed at the personal user (how easy it is to download pictures from digital cameras and the like), this article is full of insights on real-world implementation (including set up times) and compatibility issues.

In the end, Andrews stays away from recommending one version of Linux over another but definitely comes down on the side of Linux as a competitive platform to Windows and Apple.
